I heard about the centenary celebrations on Southern Counties Radio and I thought you would be interested to see the attached photo of my father's family photographed in St Ann's Well Gardens in June 1903 (presumably before the park was purchased). It shows the Golden Wedding Anniversary party for James and Fanny Light - James Light and sons were tailors in Cranbourne Street around that time. Also in the photo are James and Fanny Light's sons-in-law who had businesses in the town - William Parnacott (estate agent) and Edmund Drew (optician and at one time landlord of the Hare and Hounds pub). I can point out exactly who these people are if you wish, including James's sons who were tailors with him Frederick and Horace (my great grandfather). My grandfather Seymour James Light is the small blond boy in the centre front.
Yours faithfully,
Mrs. G. C. Lewis (nee Light)
